They help explain why 'F of A UK' believes there is a current and real need for accessible mental healthcare in India. We hope you will deepen your understanding of the significance and challenges of mental health in resource poor settings and find an appropriate personal response.

Poverty, Health and Health Inequalities
An appreciation of the value of every human life is at the heart of health care and yet people differ greatly, not only in health, but also in their ability to access the help they need.
Securing health for all requires tackling these inequalities in health through wider social and economic action. Equally 'Friends of Antara UK' believes that health care has an important role in breaking viscious cycles of poverty and illness.
The links below focus on the interactions between poverty and mental health but include some on organisations which focus on general health issues.
